Position Title: Technical Officer (Transcript Dove – EdNova Group)
Location: Monrovia, Liberia
Reports To: Country Manager, Transcript Dove Liberia / HQ Technical Lead
Contract Type/Duration: Full-time 

Position Summary

The Technical Officer is the technical backbone of Transcript Dove Liberia. This role is responsible for ensuring the platform’s smooth operation, security, and adaptability to the Liberian context. The officer will serve as the bridge between EdNova Group’s global technical team and the local users in Liberia, providing IT support, system monitoring, and technical training.

In practice, this means troubleshooting platform issues, liaising with HQ developers, managing data integrity, and ensuring that all technical operations comply with EdNova Group’s cybersecurity and governance standards. The Technical Officer will also support institutional onboarding, providing training and technical integration for universities and schools adopting the platform.

This position is critical to ensuring user confidence and system reliability. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in IT system support, cybersecurity awareness, and cloud-hosting solutions. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, providing solutions to both technical and non-technical users, and upholding EdNova Group’s values of trust, security, and innovation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide local IT support and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage integrations with institutional databases.
  • Ensure compliance with EdNova cybersecurity policies.
  • Liaise with HQ for system upgrades and updates.
  • Conduct training sessions for institutional users.
  • Monitor system performance and produce reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant IT/system support experience.
  • Knowledge of AWS, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience working with education-related systems is a plus.
